is committed to encouraging people to tell true stories in front of an audience, bringing people together through storytelling.
Unlike seeing a staged performance, our events strive to offer a conducive environment where storyteller and listener alike share in the telling of life experiences: a reminder that despite our little differences, we’re all in this together.
Originally based in Charlottesville, Secretly Y’all was moved to Richmond, Virginia in September of 2010. Regular events are held every other month and are curated by Kathleen Brady and Colin King. Richard Walters records our events and produces our podcast. Jay-Michael Forehand assists with social media and keeps our site looking spick and span! Shout out and love to the following key members who have played vital roles in the development of SY: Lainie Gratz, Leslie Channel, Rachel Vogus and Lauren Russo.
